The 2019 Cross Summer Academy just got a whole lot more exciting! With the generous support of our new partners, the City of Mine in Yamaguchi Prefecture, we’ll be flying the entire camp (everyone!) to Yamaguchi-ken where we’ll deliver a week of amazing fun in scenic and historical Akiyoshidai in week 7. At no additional cost, we will fly from Tokyo together, participate with local kids, participate in fun community events (including, yes, BBQs), stay in fantastic accommodations, learn regional culture, and participate in learning and athletic experiences guided by some of Japan’s most prominent figures in the Arts, Technology, Media, and Sports. In teams, we will work all week on internationally relevant projects about the environment, sustainability, community, and more. And finally, before we come home, we’ll present those projects along with everything we learned in a performance hall. Stay tuned for more announcements about Week 7 since there is more to tell!
Week 7 of the 2019 Cross Summer Academy happens from August 26~30, and is the capping week of action from Weeks 1~6 that are held in and near Tokyo. Students interested in participating in the 2019 Cross Summer Academy (in all , in part, or for any number of weeks) are encouraged to register as soon as they are able, and especially for Week 7 which is capped for this year at 50 participants.
